my bowen clinic logo

Welcome!

Recently, I refreshed My Bowen Clinic logo, in our South Burnaby location. Clients coming  in, are seeing the new logo on the office door, and a few clients have asked.

What is the significance of My Bowen Clinic logo?

So glad you asked!

As a Registered Bowen Health Therapist, our goal is to facilitate client’s shifting their bodies back into ease and self-alignment.

As Bowen therapy manipulates the fascia, nerves, meridians and soft tissue through gentle moves on the skin or light clothing, I wanted the logo to be just as intentional. This purposeful actions creates structural supportive change at the nerve and muscles level which effects client’s gait patterns and flow in our body tissues.

I wanted a symbol that is intentional and purposeful for my business.

Yes, we had to take an introduction course in Chinese medicine to become Bowen therapist, which I didn’t understand at the time, yet all Bowen moves are done on meridian lines. So if your interested in a modality that works for many, yet doesn’t use needles….Bowen is for you!

How does Chinese medicine relate to My Bowen Clinic logo? You might ask.

The blue word Bowen is the modality being used as the action for change, and the helix and wings also blue – color of water, to signify Bowen manipulating fascia which is comprised of 98% Water.  The untwisting of the helix is the symbol of fascia unwinding, allowing water to flow back into the compressed areas of the body, rehydrating and changing structural alignment. The wing like movement is significant of change and movement within the fascia matrix in the body.  The blue colour stands for water and the movement helix and wing patterning is for wind, two of the five elements in Chinese medicine.

The Brown circle is symbolic of Wholeness, representing wood – structural integrity the third element and earth – grounded presence, the fourth element in Chinese medicine.  The addition of the silver and gold lines is representing of metal and or fire, the fifth and final element in Chinese medicine system.  All elements of water, air, wood, earth, metal/fire are represented making the symbol balanced and complete.

So, the whole symbol together stands for:

“Bowen Unwinding the body’s fascia into Wholeness”

It is my intent and purpose to facilitate a client’s body to find more ease and self-alignment within your session.
